千本釈迦堂（大報恩寺）
A temple founded in 1221 whose main hall, completed in 1227, survived the Onin War and is the oldest wooden building in the old city of Kyoto, designated a National Treasure. The Reihoden treasure hall shows Kamakura-period Buddhist statues.
