Saga-Toriimoto preserved street
嵯峨鳥居本
A village street in the far north-west of Arashiyama that grew as a stop for pilgrims to Atago Shrine, lined with townhouses and thatched farmhouses from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was designated a national Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in 1979.
