Daikaku-ji
大覚寺
A former villa of Emperor Saga, converted into a temple in 876 and long headed by members of the imperial family. It is the head temple of the Daikaku-ji school of Shingon Buddhism and the home of the Saga Goryu school of ikebana, with the large Osawa pond beside the halls.
